who can participate?
anyone who would like to put perfume on and perform as part of the Performative 02 Festival

preparation
each participant will be given a fragrance kit to use in preparation for the performance

the performance
will take place on 18 September. Participants will become I Profumati dell’Aquila travelling from L’Aquila to Fontecchio and then to the Convent of San Francesco

Beatrice Marchi, The Natural Fragrance of Springtime, 2020

We are looking for participants in Beatrice Marchi’s new performance of I Profumati dell’Aquila

The performance is divided into two acts: each performer will be given a kit with instructions on how to cleanse and perfume themselves and their clothes. Through the perfume, an abstract sense of belonging will be generated where all performers form one collective character. The perfume ritual is followed by a bus journey to the Fontecchio convent. In the second act, I dei Profumati dell’Aquila and the band The Friends perform a song together in a concert played live at the Fontecchio convent.
